Luke Lanham

Having first joined Scenic Rivers staff through the Chesapeake Bay Trust's Chesapeake Conservation & Climate Corps Grant Program, Luke has since officially joined the Scenic Rivers team as a full-time staff member!

Luke joined the Scenic Rivers team in the summer of 2024, having graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in the spring of 2024. During his time at St. Mary’s, Luke earned his BA in environmental studies with focuses in the fields of environmental science and environmental humanities. While studying at St. Mary’s, Luke developed and implemented environmental education lessons with a local charter school and assisted at St. Mary’s campus farm. In 2023, Luke was accepted into the Land Trust Alliance’s Scholars for Conservation Leadership Program and was invited to Attend Rally 2023 in Portland, OR. 

An Annapolis native, Luke joins the team eager to protect natural lands in an effort to conserve the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay region. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, reading, weightlifting, and kayaking.
