Self-Led History Hike at Bacon Ridge Natural Area

Celebrate Maryland Day Weekend by heading out for a self-led history hike of the Bacon Ridge Natural Area. Scenic Rivers Land Trust’s staff have prepared materials to help you explore for landscape clues in the history-rich Bacon Ridge Natural Area.
Register to receive a PDF trail guide that includes a map and information on Bacon Ridge’s land use history.
Temporary interpretive signs will be posted along the trails to help guide you beginning on Friday, March 25, 2022. Signs will remain up through Sunday, March 27, 2022.
Hike begins from the Hawkins Road Trailhead in Crownsville.
