Scenic Rivers holds 80 conservation easements across Anne Arundel County, totaling over 3,800 acres. Several noteworthy easements are included below.
Egolf Property
Conserved in 2019; 111 acres of forest, wetland and meadow along the Little Patuxent River near Gambrills. This easement protects land that has been in the owner’s family for more than 100 years.
Bacon Ridge Natural Area
Conserved in 2010; 631 acres of woodlands, wetlands and streams, owned by Anne Arundel County and open to the public for passive recreation. It is Scenic Rivers largest easement, co-held with Maryland Environmental Trust.
Hidden View
Conserved in 2009; 62 acres of forest surrounding a historic manor house in Crownsville. This property is a popular venue for weddings and special occasions. Coheld with Maryland Environmental Trust.
