Scenic Rivers’ Executive Director, Josh Falk, Joins Forever Maryland’s Board of Directors

Falk joins a team of land conservation experts inspiring the protection of wildlife habitats and natural areas across the state of Maryland.

We’re proud to share that Scenic Rivers’ Executive Director, Josh Falk, has joined the Board of Directors of Forever Maryland, a statewide nonprofit that brings together land trusts, conservation organizations, and partners to strengthen land conservation across Maryland.

Forever Maryland supports the work of local land trusts through advocacy, education, collaboration, and capacity building, while championing the public policies and partnerships that help protect the state’s forests, farms, waterways, wildlife habitat, and other important natural places.

“I’m honored to join Forever Maryland’s Board of Directors and to help advance land conservation across our state,” Falk said. “Throughout my career, I’ve felt that our greatest conservation successes happen when organizations work together, share ideas, and invest in one another. I’m excited to bring Scenic Rivers’ perspective to those conversations while strengthening the partnerships that help protect the landscapes and waterways our communities depend on.”

As the statewide voice for land conservation, Forever Maryland works to connect organizations, share resources and expertise, and advocate for the programs and policies that make lasting conservation possible. By bringing together land trusts, public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and conservation leaders, the organization helps build a stronger network working to protect the places that make Maryland special.

Josh’s new role reflects Scenic Rivers’ commitment not only to conserving land here in Anne Arundel County, but also to contributing to conservation efforts across Maryland. Through Josh’s service on the board, Scenic Rivers will help shape statewide conversations around land conservation while bringing new ideas, partnerships, and perspectives back to our local community.
